Job description

A Technical Production Operations Engineer Intern/Co-Op plays a crucial role in supporting our Production Support Operations team by monitoring automated processes, identifying issues, and assisting in troubleshooting efforts. This is an opportunity to develop your technical skills and gain hands-on experience in a financial services industry application. You will work closely with senior team members, follow documented procedures, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

This is an on-site position in our Wakefield, MA office and the hours are 4:00 AM EST to 12:00 PM EST  OR  12:00 PM to 8:00 PM EST.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and support automated batch processing jobs
  • Assist in troubleshooting and issue resolution under the guidance of senior team members
  • Document technical procedures and update knowledge bases
  • Escalate issues appropriately and collaborate with technical teams for resolution
  • Communicate with internal teams and contribute to proactive issue prevention
  • Management of client expectations - excellent communication skills are essential
  • Partner with various internal departments to deliver superior customer service
  • Proactive support for documentation development and refinement
  • Participate in shift work, potentially including evenings and early mornings as part of a 24/7 support team

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Interest in technical operations and enterprise software support
  • Knowledge, understanding and/or interest in the financial sector

Desired Technical Skills:

  • Experience with MS Windows, SQL, or Dynatrace
  • Ability to balance and manage multiple, competing priorities
  • Collaborative interpersonal skills and ability to work within cross-functional teams

Education: 

  • Progress towards a BA or BS degree (BS degree in Finance or Computer Science is a plus.)
