Job description

23rd April, 2026
Our client, a leading-edge aerospace company, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead Design & Development of advanced aerospace machinery in Southampton, PA.
In this role, you'll design the electrical systems that bring complex equipment to life - including advanced flight training simulators with human centrifuges that help train pilots to withstand up to 15 Gs.
You'll work on technically sophisticated systems, including servo motors and drives, PC-based data acquisition for analog and digital I/O, operator control panels, transformers, power supplies, electrical slip rings, and integrated audio/video systems, turning detailed CAD designs into practical, cost-effective solutions ready for production.
This is a true design role, where your technical expertise directly shapes real-world machinery. You'll primarily work in AutoCAD Electrical while collaborating with production and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
This role is ideal for candidates with at least 5 years of hands-on electrical design experience in industrial or machinery applications - not building construction or commercial/residential electrical work - who thrive on creative problem-solving, precision design, and seeing their work realized in advanced aerospace equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Create and modify electrical design packages, schematics, and wiring diagrams for industrial machinery.
  • Customize existing designs to meet new machine specifications and client requirements.
  • Design control panels, power distribution, and integrated electrical systems, ensuring cost-effective and practical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for electrical components.
  • Collaborate with production personnel and machinery assembly teams to integrate electrical designs into functional equipment.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and company specifications.
  • Maintain technical documentation and CAD files for designs.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in industrial machinery or related manufacturing.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Experience designing control panels, wiring systems, and electrical layouts for machinery.
  • Familiarity with motors, drives, transformers, sensors, and basic industrial electrical standards.
  • Knowledge of UL standards and grounding principles is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ideal candidates can provide examples of prior electrical design work.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8a-5pm
Location: Southampton PA (Onsite)
Benefits: Medical Insurance, Dental, Vision, HSA, FSA, 401K with Company Match, PTO, Basic Life, Long Term Disability, Work-Life Balance, Quarterly Employee Events, Tuition Assistance.
