Job description

Eliot is seeking empathetic Stabilization Specialists - Fee for Service to join our Community Crisis Stabilization program. Eliot's Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS) is a twenty four hour program designed to stabilize and support adults in psychiatric distress.  This program is designed as an alternative to hospitalization providing short term overnight crisis care.   CBHC Programs serve as a single entry point for mental health and substance use services for youth, families and adults, children and Using creative problem-solving skills, you will work towards overcoming traditional barriers in the behavioral health system alongside our talented staff. This role will focus on housing navigation, recovery coaching, case management, peer support and other specialized stabilization services. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide crisis support and stabilization services to clients
  • Deliver interventions to individuals and families focused on problem-solving, skills training, behavior modeling, optimism, and encouragement
  • Tailor interventions based on client preferences, needs, and the clinical direction of the care team
  • Offer direct support in crisis intervention, stabilization, treatment planning, and evaluation and assessment.  
  • Assist individuals with learning and utilizing coping strategies, and daily living skills
  • Complete clinical assessments and required documentation to meet standards
  • Provide short-term case management, including assistance with income, insurance, entitlements, community resources and services, as well as coordination of  medical/psychiatric appointments
  • Facilitate warm handoffs with other service providers

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Services or related field
  • Experience working with adults or families with mental illness/substance abuse
  • Valid Massachusetts drivers license
