Job description

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimator with a minimum of 7 years of expertise in estimating federal construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both design-build and design-bid-build processes, demonstrating proficiency in developing accurate project estimates and schedules. Responsibilities: Utilize your extensive knowledge to estimate costs accurately for federal construction projects, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.

Handle a variety of project types, including renovations and new construction (buildings), applying your expertise to diverse challenges. Develop project schedules at a high level, providing essential information to our professional scheduler for the creation of bid-ready documents. Demonstrate a capacity for thinking outside the box and creative problem-solving to overcome challenges inherent in federal construction projects.

Emphasize negotiation skills, engaging with professionals, making accurate time and cost estimates, and resolving issues effectively. Take initiative in addressing tasks and challenges, demonstrating dependability in meeting project deadlines and delivering high-quality results. Work seamlessly with cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes effective communication and project success.

Formulate contingency plans and effectively manage risks that might impact cost and time estimates. Keep track of the latest estimating technology and industry-related techniques. Qualifications: Minimum 7 Years Experience and a proven track record in estimating federal construction projects.

Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build Experience: A thorough understanding of both project delivery methods. Ability to develop project schedules at a high level for bidding purposes. Capacity for creative problem-solving and thinking outside the box.

Strong negotiation skills with the ability to make accurate time and cost estimates. Proactive approach, dedication to tasks, and a commitment to meeting deadlines. Ability to work effectively with diverse teams to achieve common goals.
