Summary

ZEALOT is hiring a hands-on Creative Director for the day-to-day development of key art and print marketing campaigns for Streaming, TV, and Theatrical releases. You will lead a fast-paced creative team, drive the visual concepting, and directly execute high-quality design work while collaborating with internal teams and clients.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Hands-on concepting, designing, and compositing for photo shoots, key art, and outdoor advertising
  • Create preliminary comps and execute complex revisions and refinements for client presentations
  • Partner directly with Art Directors and designers to elevate the team’s creative output
  • Mentor junior team members, refining their design skills through daily collaboration and constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with the account team to balance creative execution with job profitability
  • Visualize abstract marketing concepts into compelling entertainment visuals

Qualifications & Skills

  • Portfolio required for application submission
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience as an Art Director or Senior Art Director within entertainment key art and marketing
  • Advanced Photoshop skills and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills; comfortable presenting ideas to clients and incorporating their feedback
  • Ability to organize workflows and meet tight theatrical/streaming deadlines
  • Basic 3D modeling, illustration, or photography skills are a plus

Work Environment

DUTIES AND TASKS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. Additional responsibilities may be assigned to assist with other departments in a fast-paced agency setting. Flexibility is essential.

 

Additional Information:

  • Reports to: Head of Print
  • Regular business hours are Mon-Fri 10am to 7pm. However, your hours may differ as later be determined by ZEALOT.
  • Position is Exempt. Estimated hiring range:$165k to $185k. Individual pay rates are determined by a variety of factors, including specific skill sets, educational background, and years of experience.
  • Role is hybrid 3 x per week to the Hollywood office; Remote is possibility if outside of LA.
