About the team and position
The Recruiter within our Operations Talent team provides professional recruitment services, to ensure our operations department(s) meets all staffing needs, and that all candidates and prospective employees have the best possible hiring experience! As a Recruiter for one or more of our Operations teams (Customer Care, Logistics, Inspection/Reconditioning Centers, Market Operations, ADESA Auctions), you'll perform the full-cycle 360 recruitment process for various sites across the country - focusing mostly on filling skilled-level positions. Developing strong business relationships with your stakeholders and understanding their hiring needs is key. You'll see your insights and efforts have an immediate, tangible impact every day in an exciting and unique company.
Important Details:
This is a fully on-site position, Monday through Friday, at our corporate HQ in Tempe, Arizona.
  • Upon hire, the Operations Recruiter will begin a required six month review and assessment period to ensure the consistent ability to meet role-specific performance and competency standards.

What you'll be doing
  • Independently source candidates through various methods such as social media, Indeed, Carvana website.
  • Conduct in-depth screenings and interviews via phone.
  • Provide resumes and screening notes for hiring manager interviews.
  • Conduct talent/skills, role-fit, and culture-fit assessments and advise the business accordingly.
  • Manage the candidate expectations regarding the background check process, while working with both candidates and colleagues to ensure our candidates are processed for a successful hire.
  • Develop hiring leader relationships and a strong understanding of the Operations team(s) business and gaps, and advise on effective hiring strategies.
  • Focus on a high conversion rate from interview to offer.
  • Help us build a stronger company. Every day.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you should have/know
  • 3+ years of full cycle and high-volume recruiting experience.
  • Experience using recruiting applications and creative methods to source qualified candidates. We use Greenhouse and Tenstreet ATS.
  • Experience working with hiring managers and adapting sourcing strategies to match the needs of the team.
  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency without sacrificing accuracy. We are fast-paced and need people who can keep up!
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Comfortable with change and can easily adapt.
  • Bachelors/Associates Degree required
