Job description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing full-time Music Therapy services in a school-based environment. This 12-week position offers the chance to support students' emotional, social, and academic growth through therapeutic musical experiences. You'll collaborate with educators, families, and support staff, helping students reach their fullest potential in a vibrant, inclusive educational atmosphere.
Qualifications and Experience Needed:

  • Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) status required
  • Previous experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations strongly preferred
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized and group music therapy sessions
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate professionally with school teams and families
  • Compassionate, creative, and flexible mindset
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide music therapy services to students as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Implement both individual and group sessions to address social, behavioral, emotional, and academic goals

  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing timely and relevant input regarding therapy goals and strategies
