Core Purpose
To own and grow MaxBP's social media presence through strong content planning, publishing, community engagement, and creative execution, while contributing to broader marketing campaigns and initiatives across the company.
This role is ideal for an experienced social media marketer who understands what makes content work, stays plugged into sports and social trends, and can take ownership of MaxBP's day-to-day presence across platforms.
Primary Responsibilities:
Social Media Management
  • Manage MaxBP's day-to-day social media presence across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and other platforms
  • Own the social content calendar and publishing schedule
  • Write captions, hooks, titles, and other social copy
  • Schedule and publish content consistently across channels
  • Monitor comments, messages, mentions, and community conversations
  • Engage with athletes, coaches, teams, creators, and customers
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice across social platforms

Content Strategy & Development
  • Brainstorm social content concepts, recurring series, campaigns, and creative ideas
  • Identify trends, conversations, formats, and opportunities relevant to MaxBP
  • Work with the Multimedia Marketing Specialist to plan and produce social-first content
  • Turn larger marketing campaigns into effective social content
  • Identify opportunities to repurpose existing video, photography, creator, and campaign assets
  • Help develop content around athletes, creators, events, products, and customer stories

Performance & Growth
  • Track social engagement, reach, follower growth, and content performance
  • Identify patterns in what is and isn't working
  • Use performance insights to improve future content
  • Test new formats, hooks, platforms, and approaches
  • Stay current on changes to major social platforms and best practices

General MarketingAs a member of a small, collaborative marketing team, this role will also:
  • Participate in campaign and creative brainstorming
  • Assist with email marketing and copy as needed
  • Contribute to blogs and other website content
  • Support product launches and promotional campaigns
  • Participate in event planning and on-site execution
  • Support website updates as needed
  • Jump into other marketing projects when opportunities arise

Ideal Skills & Experience
Required
  • 2-5 years of professional social media, digital marketing, or related experience
  • Experience managing social media for a brand, organization, or similar business
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Strong instincts for what makes compelling social content
  • Ability to independently manage a content calendar and publishing schedule
  • Experience analyzing social performance and applying insights
