Job description

THE ROLE

SMYTHE is seeking a Content & Creative Marketing Associate who is equal parts designer, storyteller, and producer. This is a dynamic role for someone who loves creating beautiful work and the satisfaction of bringing ideas to life with precision.

No two days look the same. Some days you'll be hands-on in execution: transforming photography, video, and campaign creative into polished, channel-ready assets, building email templates and social carousels, adapting creative across platforms, and ensuring every touchpoint reflects the SMYTHE brand with consistency and care.

Other days you'll be focused on production. Partnering with the broader marketing team to coordinate photoshoots, manage timelines, organize and maintain the creative asset library, and help bring campaigns from concept to launch seamlessly.

And on the best days, you'll collaborate with the Brand Marketing Manager on creative ideation and concept development, helping solve business challenges through compelling visual storytelling and bringing our most important brand moments to life.

Reporting to the Brand Marketing Manager, you'll work closely with the broader Marketing and eCommerce teams on cross-channel creative needs. You stay plugged into what's trending across social and marketing channels, and you'll have the opportunity to see the impact of your work every day, across marketing campaigns, digital channels, retail experiences, and eCommerce.

If you're someone who loves turning creative direction into exceptional execution, has a sharp eye for design and detail, and is excited by the balance of creativity, organization, and production, we'd love to meet you.

YOU WILL

Design and produce creative assets

  • Build out graphic assets from existing brand photography and video, resizing, cropping, and reformatting creative across paid social, organic social, email, SMS, and wholesale specs.

  • Build carousels, static social graphics, and campaign creative from existing brand imagery, applying logos, brand elements, and on-brand typography and layout.

  • Build and maintain email and SMS creative templates, working from the Brand Marketing Manager's direction and brand guidelines.

  • Capture supplemental content: quick product shots, behind-the-scenes moments, and simple video in support of the broader content calendar.

Support campaign and photoshoot production

  • Assist with photoshoot planning and logistics: coordinating schedules, talent, locations, props, and wardrobe in support of the team's production plans.

  • Provide on-set support for smaller shoots and brand moments, capturing supplemental behind-the-scenes content and stills alongside primary production.

  • Support campaign creative production, including asset formatting, resizing, and delivery for paid and organic use.

Manage UGC and the creative asset library

  • Manage UGC intake from the PR and Affiliate influencer pipeline, tagging, and deployment across organic and campaign use cases.

  • Maintain the brand's creative asset library: organized, tagged, and up to date across all seasonal and campaign content.

  • Support the Brand Marketing Manager with content production planning, ensuring the content calendar is fed and aligned with campaign milestones.

Handle post-production and file management

  • Own post-production for organic and campaign content: editing, colour grading, captioning, and format delivery.

  • Manage file organization and naming conventions across all creative outputs, ensuring assets are accessible and properly archived.

  • Maintain brand consistency in all post-production work, applying brand guidelines across every deliverable.

Support creative ideation and concept development

  • Partner with the Brand Marketing Manager on brainstorming and concept development for key campaigns, seasonal launches, and brand moments.

  • Bring your own point of view to the table - pitching formats, treatments, and storytelling angles that push the work forward.

YOU HAVE

  • 2-4+ years of experience in graphic design, creative production, or social/email content production, ideally within fashion, retail, or lifestyle.

  • A strong design portfolio that demonstrates your layout skills, resizing, reformatting, and building templated creative across social, email, and wholesale collateral.

  • Comfort with basic photo and video capture and editing (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, or similar) is a plus, but not the core of this role.

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, or Canva, so you can move fast between formats without losing quality or brand consistency.

  • A solid understanding of platform and channel specs, social, email, and paid, and what it takes to make creative look sharp and on-brand in every format.

  • Experience with UGC workflows: rights management, asset tagging, and content deployment.

  • Comfort building and maintaining email and SMS creative templates within an ESP (e.g., Klaviyo) is an asset.

  • Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple deliverables, timelines, and file systems.

HOW YOU THINK

You are a design person. You see a brief or an existing asset and immediately think about how to execute it cleanly, precisely, and on-brand.

You have taste. You understand the SMYTHE aesthetic: Relevant, Distinct and Enduring, and you know how to apply it consistently across every format and touchpoint.

You are organized and precise. You can hold production logistics and file specs together while staying flexible when things shift, and you take direction well.

You move fast and finish things well.

You are excited by ownership. You want to see your work in the feed, in the campaign, in the inbox, and you take pride in every touchpoint.

YOU'LL LOVE WORKING HERE BECAUSE

  • You'll work with a fun, hard-working, collaborative team with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.

  • Our product is designed to embolden the people who wear it, and that includes our team.

  • We offer a comprehensive health and dental benefit plan funded by SMYTHE.

  • SMYTHE fosters a workplace where our individual differences are recognized, appreciated, and respected. Accommodations are available upon request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the recruitment and selection process.
