Job description

The Role:

The Coordinator supports SMYTHE's product development process with the same precision and care the brand is known for. Working closely with the product development team, the Coordinator handles tech packs, raw material tracking, and fitting preparation - helping ensure every style moves from concept to sample room accurately, on schedule, and true to construction standards. Please note this role is an in-office role.

You Will:

  • Edit & update tech packs for domestic and offshore development
  • Print, organize, and rename cutsheets to match line plan naming conventions
  • Prepare tech pack bundles (cutsheet, self fabric, marker) for sample handoff (domestic & offshore)
  • Sketch new styles & updating existing styles
  • Prepare cutsheets ahead of fittings, incorporating pre-fitting comments from the sample room
  • Cross-check white label info against the RM (raw material) air table
  • Conduct internal QC/final check prior to fittings; transfer comments to sticky notes for sample markup
  • Maintain and update the raw material tracker
  • Track and follow up on all raw material orders from ordering through to delivery
  • Order raw materials for the sampling season
  • Track sampling leftover quantities
  • Follow up on TDS (technical data sheets) from fabric mills
  • Coordinate dry clean testing
  • Coordinate shrinkage testing (garment and swatch level)

You Have:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Post Secondary Diploma or Degree in Fashion Design
  • Proficiency with Office 365, Copilot, Excel, Adobe Illustrator
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Willingness to work overtime during busy periods
