Job description

Catania Landscape & Design is an award-winning landscape design and build firm specializing in high-end residential properties throughout Long Island. Our work has been featured by publications including Architectural Digest and recognized for its thoughtful approach to landscape design, outdoor living, and construction.

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Project Coordinator to work directly alongside our Founder & Creative Director. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in landscape design, project management, construction, client relations, and business operations within a growing design-build firm.

The ideal candidate is organized, hardworking, resourceful, and eager to learn. This is not a desk job. You will be actively involved in both the office and the field, helping oversee projects, coordinate crews, manage logistics, assist with installations, and ensure our projects are executed to the highest standards.

This position offers significant opportunities for growth and is ideal for someone interested in landscape design, construction management, and horticulture.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Founder & Creative Director on daily project operations
  • Provide project updates throughout the day and assist with coordinating multiple active projects
  • Visit job sites regularly to monitor progress and support field crews
  • Assist in managing landscape construction, masonry, planting, and outdoor living projects
  • Coordinate material deliveries and pick up materials from vendors and suppliers as needed
  • Help ensure teams have the information, materials, and support necessary to perform efficiently
  • Assist with project scheduling, logistics, and quality control
  • Support installation teams during landscape and hardscape installations when needed
  • Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
  • Assist with landscape design presentations, design development, and project planning
  • Learn design strategy, construction sequencing, budgeting, and project execution from concept through completion
  • Help identify and solve problems before they impact project schedules or quality
  • Perform a variety of tasks as needed to help projects run smoothly and successfully

Areas We Serve

Most of our projects are located throughout Long Island's North Shore communities, including Lloyd Harbor, Cold Spring Harbor, Oyster Bay, Muttontown, Brookville, Manhasset, and surrounding areas.

What You'll Gain

This position works directly alongside the Founder & Creative Director, supporting both the design and construction sides of the business while learning the complete design-build process from concept through installation.

  • Direct mentorship from the Founder & Creative Director
  • Exposure to every stage of the design-build process
  • Hands-on experience in landscape design, project management, and construction
  • Real-world experience working on high-end residential properties
  • Opportunities for advancement and increased responsibility
  • A career path within a growing, award-winning firm

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and dependable
  • Comfortable working both outdoors and in an office environment
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required
  • Ability to lift materials and assist with field operations when necessary
  • Experience in landscaping, construction, horticulture, design, or project management

Compensation

Competitive compensation based on experience, with opportunities for growth and advancement.
