  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Virtual Production Engineer.
  • Partner with faculty and students to co-create meaningful, project-based digital content that connects technology, creativity, and disciplinary content.
  • Collaborate with the Instructional Technology team to develop scalable, intuitive preK-12 programming in The Studios.
  • Provide strategic oversight of The Studios ecosystem, including the xR Studio, Vodcast Studio, and VR Innovation Lab, ensuring alignment with our school’s strategic goals, divisional and curricular goals, and student experience.
  • Manage systems for equitable access, scheduling, and cross-divisional use of studio spaces and resources.
  • Maintain the technical infrastructure that supports high-quality synchronous and asynchronous digital production.
  • Serve as a consultant to faculty and staff, growing curricular and assessment ideas into engaging digital content.
  • Sustain partnerships with Communications, Advancement, Alumni, and external collaborators to extend DCDS storytelling.
  • Continuously expand expertise in emerging media and production technologies, including xR systems, broadcast workflows, color science, and post-production tools including Premier Pro, CapCut, iMovie, etc.
  • Operate effectively in fast-paced, production-driven environments, balancing quality, cross divisional and departmental timelines, and instructional priorities.
  • Demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and creative problem-solving in both independent and collaborative contexts.
  • Provide flexible support, including after-hours and weekend availability, to meet the needs of productions and school events.
  • Lead classroom sessions or technical demonstrations for students and staff.
  • Instruct elective courses or specialized workshops related to creative technology, as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Experience with curricular design and lesson planning, digital media creation and editing, coupled with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and innovation.
  • Familiarity with creative design packages (e.g., Adobe, Avid, Premier Pro, iMovie, and CapCut).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, show initiative, and solve complex technical problems creatively and efficiently
Physical Requirements

  • Frequent use of hands to operate computers, cameras, audio/visual equipment, and other digital production tools.
  • Ability to move throughout campus and studio spaces to support classrooms
