POSITION SUMMARY
The Creative Project Manager unlocks the full potential of our creative team by owning how work gets done. As the central operator across all creative output, this role brings clarity, structure, and momentum to a fast-paced, high-demand environment-ensuring projects move from concept to delivery without friction.
At the core of this role is ownership of intake and prioritization with strong judgment, balancing matchday needs, revenue-driving design and production initiatives, and long-term brand work to ensure the right projects are moving at the right time. You'll eliminate inefficiencies, reduce last-minute fire drills, and ensure every project starts with a clear, actionable brief-freeing creatives to do their best work.
This role requires a bias for action and the ability to drive outcomes in ambiguous, ever-changing conditions. You'll push work forward, remove obstacles, and influence teams across the organization-aligning stakeholders and holding timelines without direct authority.
Working closely with Brand Marketing leadership, you'll play a critical role in scaling creative output across Sounders FC and Reign FC by building systems that enable speed, consistency, and quality. You will also continuously evaluate and leverage emerging technologies-including AI-driven tools-to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance creative operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Creative Operations & Workflow Management
  • Own the end-to-end creative workflow, from intake through delivery, ensuring clarity, efficiency, and accountability at every stage
  • Enforce and manage a centralized intake process through Wrike; ensure all work is properly submitted, scoped, and prioritized
  • Eliminate inefficiencies by reducing unclear briefs, last-minute requests, and administrative burden on creative team members
  • Ensure all creative requests are supported by clear, actionable briefs before entering production

Prioritization & Stakeholder Alignment
  • Partner with Brand Marketing leadership to establish and continuously refine creative priorities across Marketing, Corporate Partnerships, and Sales
  • Serve as the central point of coordination across departments, aligning timelines, expectations, and deliverables
  • Proactively manage competing priorities and resolve conflicts to keep work on track
  • Project Management & Delivery
  • Drive project timelines, ensuring all creative deliverables are completed on time and at a high standard
  • Identify risks early and implement solutions to keep projects moving forward
  • Lead regular creative planning and review meetings to ensure alignment and visibility

Creative Team Enablement
  • Act as a shield for the creative team-protecting their time and focus by handling process, communication, and coordination
  • Remove operational friction so designers and creatives can focus on high-impact work
  • Support adoption and integration of design systems across the broader marketing organization
  • Production & Vendor Support (Hybrid Scope)
  • Step in to support production needs when required, including coordination of deliverables and timelines
  • Assist with management of external vendors (print, production, etc.) to ensure seamless execution

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, creative operations, or a similar role within a fast-paced marketing or creative environment
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume, cross-functional creative workflows
  • Strong experience with project management tools (Wrike preferred) and structured intake systems
  • Demonstrated ability to bring clarity to ambiguous requests and translate them into actionable work
  • Comfortable driving accountability across multiple stakeholders and functions
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Experience working with or supporting creative teams (design, video, content)
  • Experience with vendor coordination and production workflows is a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • This is a hybrid position working from home and from Headquarters & Training Facility in Renton, WA and attending meetings and matches as needed.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must reside within Washington state upon date of hire.
  • Must be able to facilitate own local travel.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Responsibilities include regular work outdoors and may require standing on feet for long periods of time, as well as some lifting of up to 20 pounds.

The annual salary range for this position is $85,000 - $105,000. Base salary at time of offer is based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal equity, and current market conditions.
