JOB PURPOSE

This role is part of our Global Studios team. We create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is hyper-personalised, digital communications that change perceptions, shape new behaviours, and shift market share for our clients.

We're looking for a Creative Developer to join a team delivering high-profile digital experiences for one of the biggest technology brands in the world.

This is not a traditional frontend engineering role.

We're looking for someone who lives at the intersection of design, motion, interaction, and engineering. Someone who can take exceptional visual design and bring it to life through animation, storytelling, interactivity, and meticulous frontend craftsmanship.

The ideal candidate is passionate about creating experiences that feel memorable, delightful, and visually polished. They care deeply about UX, UI, motion design, transitions, timing, responsiveness, micro-interactions, and the overall quality of the user experience. They care as much about how an experience feels as how it is built.

You'll work closely with designers and engineers to build robust, reusable frontend components and experiences using Angular, TypeScript, and modern CSS.

You'll operate within a structured development environment with established patterns, review processes, and quality standards. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly detail-oriented, comfortable challenging inconsistencies, and confident bridging the gap between design intent and technical implementation.

We are looking for someone capable of building premium digital experiences comparable to the quality commonly seen on Awwwards, FWA, and other leading creative showcases, with exceptional attention to motion, interaction, performance, and visual polish.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Build premium interactive digital experiences using Angular, TypeScript, advanced CSS and modern frontend technologies
  • Build scalable, reusable components aligned to broader design systems and frontend architecture
  • Translate high-fidelity Figma designs into polished, responsive, production-ready experiences
  • Create sophisticated motion systems, scripted animations, transitions, and interactive behaviours that elevate the user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, proactively questioning and refining designs to ensure consistency and scalability across components and flows
  • Champion high standards for frontend quality, responsiveness, accessibility, and performance
  • Follow established coding standards, patterns, and development best practices consistently
  • Contribute to frontend architecture decisions and implementation approaches
  • Guide and support other developers through code reviews and technical collaboration
  • Work within structured development and code review workflows, maintaining strong attention to detail throughout delivery
  • Proactively identify implementation issues, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Contribute to a clean, maintainable, and scalable codebase

WHAT YOU BRING:

Front-End Development

  • Strong experience with Angular and TypeScript
  • Advanced knowledge of modern CSS and component-based frontend development
  • Strong understanding of responsive development and scalable UI architecture
  • Experience building modular, reusable frontend components and systems
  • Experience translating complex UI designs into polished implementations

Motion, UX & Creative Technology

  • Experience with modern animation technologies such as GSAP, Framer Motion, Three.js, WebGL and CSS animation systems
  • Strong eye for UX, UI, layout, interaction, and motion design
  • Experience creating scripted animations and fluid interactive experiences
  • Ability to balance creative ambition with technical feasibility and performance
  • Comfortable collaborating closely with design teams and contributing to UX discussions

Code Quality & Engineering Standards

  • High attention to detail in both visual implementation and code quality
  • Experience working within structured engineering environments and established development patterns
  • Comfortable with code review workflows, automated checks, linting, and validation pipelines
  • Ability to proactively identify issues, propose improvements, and drive solutions forward

Collaboration

  • Comfortable operating between design and engineering teams
  • Clear and direct communicator with a collaborative mindset
  • Experience mentoring or supporting other developers is a plus

Portfolio

  • A high-quality portfolio with commercial examples is mandatory
  • Portfolio work should demonstrate a level of visual polish, interaction quality, and technical execution comparable to premium digital experiences commonly featured on platforms such as FWA, Awwwards, or similar creative showcases
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating hands-on contribution to high-quality interactive frontend experiences
  • Clear examples of polished UI implementation, animation, and component-driven development
  • Demonstrated ownership of implemented features, systems, or frontend experiences

Desirable

  • Experience with 3D technologies such as Three.js and WebGL
  • Experience building immersive or motion-heavy digital experiences

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $90,000 - $125,000 CAD. Salary is based on relevant experience, expertise, and organizational impact.

WE OFFER

  • A flexible, hybrid working policy.
