Position Summary

Good360 is seeking a Lead Creative Designer to serve as the creative force behind its growing brand portfolio. This is a hands-on role for a lead designer who thinks strategically, embraces collaboration, executes efficiently, and takes pride in building brand systems that make a lasting impact. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of developing and evolving visual identity systems, translating complex ideas into compelling design, and creating work that earns trust and recognition.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following

Brand Leadership & Creative Strategy

  • Lead the design strategy for Good360's brand, including visual identity, guidelines, templates, and brand systems.
  • Translate brand research, audience insights, and organizational strategy into mission-driven creative concepts.
  • Develop high-impact assets that reinforce consistency, recognition, and trust across all audiences and channels.
  • Champion, document, and refine comprehensive brand guidelines to scale with organizational strategic goals and growth.

Design & Production

  • Design and produce a range of high-quality creative multimedia assets, including annual and impact reports, presentations, digital and social content, campaign visuals, and infographics.
  • Evolve the brand system and templates in response to organizational growth and emerging needs.
  • Build and maintain a self-service model of design templates that empowers cross-functional teams.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines simultaneously, maintaining quality and brand consistency across all deliverables.
  • Support, maintain, and evolve assets for a web-based branding hub serving external partners.
  • Ensure brand alignment and quality control across all materials and channels.

Collaboration & Creative Oversight

  • Serve as a hands-on creative thought partner to the marketing team and organizational leadership.
  • Lead an iterative design process that incorporates stakeholder feedback and works collaboratively across teams.
  • Manage shifting priorities with the ability to pivot, while consistently delivering high-quality work with speed and intention.
  • Serve as an advisor and provide hands-on support to the DAM platform selection, setup, governance, taxonomy, metadata standards, and maintenance.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional brand design experience, including demonstrated leadership of large-scale branding or rebranding initiatives for high-visibility, nonprofit organizations.
  • A robust, mission-driven portfolio demonstrating brand strategy, visual identity development, and cohesive creative systems - nonprofit or social impact experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to build and evolve organizational identity across typography, color systems, iconography, layout and grid systems, photography style, templates, and brand usage standards.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to build trusted relationships across teams, incorporate feedback constructively, and deliver design work that reflects shared goals.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign), Canva, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design best practices.
  • Hands-on experience developing and maintaining digital asset management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint for file management, collaboration, and cross-functional asset distribution.
  • Strong digital-first orientation, with experience designing web, social, and video-friendly formats.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting or leading creative work within the nonprofit or social impact sector.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered design and productivity tools to scale creative output, streamline workflows, and increase production efficiency.
  • Experience using Asana or a comparable project management platform to manage workflows, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Understanding of UX/UI principles or experience contributing to website redesign workflows.
  • Experience managing project-based brand initiatives across multiple stakeholders.

Salary Range
$80,000 - $90,000 annually

Note: Compensation is based on a candidate's experience, skills, education, and geographic location. This range is based on Washington, D.C.-Maryland-Virginia (DMV) market data; offers to candidates outside this area will reflect local market data.

Hybrid, based in our Old Town Alexandria, VA office (minimum of two days per week with Tuesday as an anchor day)
