About This Role

Learn & Grow Creative Arts Center LLC is an inclusive, secular school located in Hermitage, TN. Learn & Grow offers a creative curriculum with a focus on a STEAM based academic approach including ASL, art, dance, English language arts, geography, music, science, Spanish, outdoor exploration, and much more.


L&G CAC is currently accepting applications for a floater to join our team! Typical hours for this position would be between 12-5pm M-F. (25 hours per week.) Our classrooms are single ratio, so this position does require the ability to work independently. More hours are available if the applicant is willing to sub in the mornings for full time staff as needed.


What You'll Do
  • help with lunch breaks
  • sub for teachers when they have appointments, vacation days, or are out sick.
  • Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
  • Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, crafts etc.)
  • Supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
  • Collaborate with other educators
  • Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

Requirements

This position is immediate hire with the passing of a background check, completing the required online trainings, providing 3 references, and a physical. Applicants must have a copy of their HS diploma at a minimum. Experience teaching in childcare centers and knowledge of DHS rules with at least one year previous teaching experience preferred. All applicants will receive on the job training once hired.
