About the Role:
Kidcreate Studio is looking for a passionate and energetic After School Program Instructor to inspire young artists at our Ashburn, VA location! This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your love of creativity and working with kids in a fun, structured after-school environment. If you thrive in a classroom setting and love sparking imagination, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
  • Lead engaging, age-appropriate art instruction sessions for school-age children in an after-school program setting
  • Plan and execute creative art projects aligned with curriculum guidelines and developmental goals
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Supervise and manage student behavior while fostering creativity and self-expression
  • Set up and clean up art materials and classroom space before and after each session
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and studio staff regarding student progress
  • Adapt instruction techniques to accommodate varying skill levels and learning styles
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children in an educational, childcare, or recreational setting
  • Background or strong interest in visual arts, art education, or a related creative field
  • Enthusiastic, patient, and nurturing demeanor with school-age children
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to a consistent after-school schedule
  • CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
