Creative Arts Instructor Part-Time

Location: Warsaw, IN 46580
Pay: $20.15 per hour
Schedule: 3 days/week, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Job Summary

The Creative Arts Instructor provides hands-on support and creative programming for individuals with disabilities. This role focuses on fostering self-expression, building relationships, and helping participants develop essential life skills through engaging art experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee RedBird Art Studio operations, including inventory, art fairs, and exhibits
  • Develop and implement engaging creative arts curriculum
  • Collaborate with team members and other programs to enhance participant experiences
  • Maintain professional communication and teamwork
  • Build partnerships with local businesses and community art leaders
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and inclusive work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Bachelor’s degree in music, theater, performing arts, or a related field
  • Experience in creative arts and community engagement preferred
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced, dynamic setting with changing daily needs
  • May work across multiple locations
  • Regular interaction with diverse participant needs
  • Possible exposure to blood or bodily fluids
  • Must have a reliable, insured vehicle for transportation
  • Ongoing community engagement, including visiting art display sites
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift or move up to 75 lbs
  • Prolonged standing and walking
  • Assist individuals with mobility needs
  • Provide CPR/First Aid and behavioral support when necessary
