GENERAL FUNCTION:

The Portfolio Manager IIis responsible formanaging a portfolio of commercial loansand underwriting transactions. This position is accountable for the ongoing review and analysis of financial statementsandproactive portfoliomonitoringto ensure a comprehensive understanding of borrower performance and risk profile. The Portfolio Manager II partners closely with Relationship Managersand CreditRiskthroughout the deal lifecycle. Responsibilities include covenant structuring and analysis, collateral evaluation, risk rating assessment, and the preparation of sound, well-supported credit recommendations.The Portfolio ManagerIIis expected to be anticipatory, forward-focused, independent, transparent, and collaborative in the identification, communication, and management of risk.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers andcolleagues andensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. Whileoperatingwithin the Bank's risk appetite,achievesresults by consistentlyidentifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain an independent current and forward-looking view on the creditworthiness of each client and communicate this view to business and risk partners.
  • Perform monitoring actions; conduct periodic deal reviews; and execute decisions to renew ormodifydeals.
  • Work closely with Credit Risk and Relationship Managers to actively manage the bank's exposure to the clients in the portfolio.
  • Analyze historical financials and projections to ensureaccuraterisk ratings, early identification of emerging credit problems, and articulation of industry trends.
  • Manageunderwriting,approval and documentation process fortransactions which may include new money,loan extensions, amendments, waivers and ancillary products, including treasury management, FX, interest rate derivatives, and commodity exposure.
  • Review and recommend credit decisions; perform final risk rating analysis; provide business partners with credit lending policy interpretation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Actively involved in the recruiting,training,and mentoring of junior team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Meet with prospects / clients as needed.
  • Create and deliver comprehensive portfolio performance reports and presentations for senior management, offering strategic insights and high-level recommendations.
  • Ensure the highest standards of accuracy and integrity in system records and electronic files, supporting advanced compliance and data governance initiatives.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

Role maybe responsible forprovidingotheremployees, typically credit analysts,timely,candidandconstructive performance feedback. Developing employees to their fullest potential andprovidechallenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth; developing theappropriate talentpool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning;recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE,SKILLSAND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, orrelatedfield.
  • 6+ years of CRE underwriting experience with income-producing, construction, and REITs in various asset classes
  • Strong credit analysis skills, including cash flow, guarantor, collateral, and repayment source evaluation.
  • Experience structuring and presenting credit recommendations while applying bank credit policy and risk rating standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional presence (client-facing).
  • Stronginterpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with business and risk partners
  • Expertisein financial and risk analysis, including financial modeling.
  • Demonstratedexpertisein using effective problem solving.
  • Proficientintechnology andabilityto learn new applications.
