Job description

Position Overview

This onsite role works closely with claims professionals and defense counsel to ensure well‑documented, timely, and defensible claim handling throughout the litigation lifecycle.

Ideal candidate has hands‑on experience supporting BI auto liability files and thrives in a fast‑paced, detail‑driven claims environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support BI auto liability claims from pre‑suit through litigation, including high‑exposure files.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and audit‑ready litigation and claims files.
  • Track and manage litigation deadlines, including discovery responses, depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation milestones.
  • Coordinate closely with claims handlers, supervisors, and outside defense counsel.
Legal Documentation & File Management
  • Correspondence and status reports.
  • Settlement and mediation documentation.
  • Organize and summarize medical records, billing, wage loss documentation, and accident materials.
  • Prepare medical summaries, demand analyses support, and file chronologies.
Operational & Compliance Support
  • Ensure claim and litigation documentation aligns with internal best practices, regulatory expectations, and litigation strategy.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience supporting auto bodily injury claims, insurance defense, or personal injury litigation.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with litigation files and BI exposures.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and document management systems.
  • Comfortable working onsite in a collaborative claims and litigation environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) – preferred.
  • Experience supporting Texas auto liability litigation (venue awareness, discovery workflows, trial prep).
  • Familiarity with subrogation, high‑volume BI litigation, or complex exposure files.
  • Paralegal certificate or degree.
