Job description

Retail Store Associate (FT).
We currently have an opportunity available for a full-time Retail Store Associate in our Surplus City store.
We are looking for a friendly, out-going person to assist customers at our LaVale, MD store.
Job Summary:
  • The Store associate completes tasks that support the Store Manager and overall customer base.
  • These tasks may include carrying out daily procedures like restocking shelves, organizing supply rooms or managing the cash register.
  • Their job is also to provide customer support in all departments.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Greet customers as they enter the location.
  • Answer customer questions, respond to customer requests and resolve customer issues.
  • Complete accurate and efficient register transactions.
  • Perform inventory duties such as unloading, scanning and stocking products onto the shelves.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills include but are not limited to:
  • Excellent critical and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform simple calculations.
  • Extensive knowledge about the store product and services and customer-related policies.
  • Ability to operate or to quickly learn the store's point-of-sale system.

  • General Knowledge of Fabrics and Crafts is a plus.

Job Details:
  • Store hours Monday - Saturday:  8am to 8pm and Sunday:  10am to 5pm.
