CRA SPECIALIST
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Responsible for managing the Community Reinvestment Act programs and initiatives. Develop strategies and action plans to meet the community development goals, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsible for qualifying contribution requests, making recommendations to the CRA Manager and Officers, managing the contribution budget to assure effective return for the bank on its contributions, tracking CRA community service hours, providing guidance on the bank's policies and practices concerning CRA, and maintaining the CRA intranet website. Performs other duties as requested.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
  • Collects and analyzes data related to the banks’ CRA Investment activities, community development projects, and performance in meeting the credit needs of underserved communities. Use this data to identify trends, evaluate the effectiveness of programs, and prepare reports for internal and regulatory purposes.
  • Proactively identifies, researches, and recommends policy and procedure changes and process improvements to streamline the operations, activities and resources for future examinations.
  • Scheduling, organizing and coordinating CRA workshops, forums and seminars sponsored by the Bank. Maintains a calendar of upcoming events with detail for management purposes.
  • Manages the Community Reinvestment contribution budget. Observes internal policies to assure effective return for the bank on its contributions. Tracks and reports status of the department budget on a periodic basis.
  • Qualifies bank wide CRA contributions on an ongoing basis. Tracks and reports status periodically and provides bank wide
  • Tracks and validates colleagues’ credit for CRA community service hours. Prepares an annual report and furnishes data for the CRA Exam.
  • Sources and implements ideas to heighten colleague awareness of CRA. A. Provides internal guidance on the bank’s policies and practices concerning CRA. Manages colleague involvement in CRA focused community events. Seeks to provide colleagues’ community service opportunities, when possible.
  • Stays updated on changes in CRA regulations and guidelines and ensures that the bank remains compliant. Remaining aware of industry trends, best practices, and emerging issues in community development and fair lending is important for staying compliant and driving meaningful impact.
  • Complies fully with all Bank Operational and Credit policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Fair Lending Practices, Code of Conduct, etc.).
  • Completes all required training.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Required Qualifications*
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Requires 2 to 3 years experience in public and/or community relations, including project management experience
 
Additional Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of CRA and Fair Lending.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of the Bank’s products and services.
  • Knowledge of marketing and lending also desirable.
  • Capable of working well independently and in teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Starting base salary: $65,296 - $104,304 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
