Job description

Overview
GbOSS offers expert construction, renovation, and support services. GbOSS has expertise in construction, renovation, and support services, from design-build to finish work. GbOSS utilizes a skillset as general contractors to assist federal clients and is 8(a) certified.
Summary:
CQC System Manager will be the individual within the onsite work organization that is responsible for overall management of CQC and has the authority to act in all CQC matters for the Contractor. This CQC Manager is required to be on the site at all times during construction and is employed by the prime Contractor.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
  • Required to be on site at all times
  • Required to inspect the project before, during, and after construction to ensure compliance with all safety and quality specifications
  • Responsible for generating the project specific Quality Control Plan and program requirements.
  • Responsible for overall management of the CQC program and have the authority to act in all CQC matters
  • Responsible for submittals, hands on review of work in place, administration and execution of all meetings and reporting, documentation, and close-out of the project
  • Effective and efficient interface with the other onsite staff, customer representatives and subcontractors
  • Maintain daily logs and required daily documentation and obtain, review, approve, and process submittals
  • The CQC Manager is required to attend the CQC Plan Meeting, attend the Coordination and Mutual Understanding Meeting, attend progress meetings
  • Perform the three phases of control, perform submittal and mock-up review and coordination
  • Ensure testing is performed
  • Prepare CQC certifications and documentation required in this Contract
  • The CQC Manager shall report directly to an officer of the Contractor
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
  • Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
  • Ability to interpret documents such as:
    • Safety rules
    • Operating and Maintenance manuals
    • Procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Must be able to travel to the job site(s) as assigned
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Minimum Qualifications:
  • CQC Certification (Construction Quality Management for Contractors)
  • Minimum of 10 years construction experience or ten years in related work
  • Fluent English communication skills
  • OSHA 10
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain clearance into secure Federal facilities

Preferred Qualifications:
  • OSHA 30
  • College graduate of engineering, architecture, or construction management program

Pay and Benefits
The salary for this position is $125,000.00 annually.
