We are seeking motivated, detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Environmental Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) Technicians. What You'll Do

As a CQA Technician, you'll serve as ACC's eyes and ears in the field, helping verify that environmental construction projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.


Typical responsibilities include:

  • Inspecting landfill and industrial construction activities
  • Performing field testing and quality control evaluations
  • Monitoring earthwork, geosynthetics, drainage structures, and related construction components
  • Documenting construction activities through daily reports, photographs, and field records
  • Communicating project progress with contractors, clients, and project managers
  • Identifying potential construction, quality, or safety concerns and helping facilitate solutions
  • Supporting project teams in maintaining quality workmanship and regulatory compliance
  • Assisting with project closeout documentation and reporting

Qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to understand and follow construction plans, specifications, and field procedures

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with clients, contractors, and coworkers
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and client-required drug screening requirements


Work Environment

This position is primarily field-based and performed outdoors at construction sites, landfills, industrial facilities, and undeveloped properties.


The role requires:

  • Standing, walking, kneeling, climbing, and bending for extended periods
  • Working in varying weather conditions
  • Lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Working around active construction operations

Travel Expectations

Travel is a significant part of this role and offers the opportunity to work on projects throughout the Southeast and beyond.


Assignments may require extended stays near project sites, typically ranging from two to six months at a time. For qualifying travel assignments, ACC provides:
