Job description

Security Specialist (Registry) provides security administration, registry, and document control support within an executive-level DoW SAP and SCI environment. This role supports the Department of the Navy Special Access Programs Central Office at the Pentagon and is responsible for classified material accountability, access control, visitor processing, and SAPF/SCIF security operations in accordance with applicable government security requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a security professional with experience in classified document control, visitor certification, access verification, and secure facility operations who can perform effectively in a high-visibility, fast-paced environment Responsibilities * Perform registry, document control, visitor control, and access control functions for SAPF and SCIF spaces.
* Review and verify personnel security clearances and SAP/SCI accesses for incoming visitors and attendee lists using government-approved systems.
* Prepare and transmit collateral, SAP, and SCI visit notifications and certifications.
* Support the Government security team and CPSO with:
* physical security
* facility access control
* entry/exit inspection procedures
* office opening and closing procedures
* personnel security training, as required
* Manage security containers within the SAPF and SCIF, including:
* changing combinations when required
* maintaining required security documentation
* updating SF 700, SF 701, and SF 702
* Ensure proper receipt, control, accountability, storage, logging, routing, transfer, inventory, and authorized destruction of classified collateral, SAP, and SCI materials.
* Maintain chain of custody, audit-ready records, and complete document control files.
* Support internal reviews, self-assessments, and government inspections.
* Support conference room operations, document reviews, and authorized nonresident personnel use.
* Draft, update, and maintain document control SOPs, security procedures, and office guidance.
* Perform duties associated with Top Secret control.
* When designated, support COMSEC material custodian responsibilities in accordance with approved procedures.
* Coordinate effectively with government personnel, contractors, and external stakeholders.
* Prepare briefings, reports, SOPs, and official correspondence.
* Work independently and professionally in a fast-paced classified environment. Qualifications * Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
* Ability to meet any applicable Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility requirements identified by the Government.
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in management, security administration, a technical discipline, or a related field; additional directly relevant specialized and/or military experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
* 3+ years of directly relevant experience supporting security administration, registry, and document control in collateral, SAP, and SCI environments.
* Experience with:
* visitor control
* access verification
* classified material accountability
* records maintenance
* classified document handling procedures
* Knowledge of collateral, SAP, and SCI security administration procedures, records management, and accountability requirements for sensitive and classified information.
* Experience supporting SAPF and SCIF operations, including facility access control, security container management, and required security forms/records.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
