2026-2027 School Year 8 Hours Per Day 226 Work Days | Service Calendar #280 ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience. Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements required. Texas School Bus driver Certification and Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certifications required. No greater than five (5) points on driving record at time of hire. Must hold a CDL of the same class or higher with all required endorsements necessary to operate the commercial motor vehicle (CMV) for which training is provided. Must meet all applicable state qualification requirements for CMV Instructors including a minimum of two (2) years of experience operating a CMV requiring a CDL of the same class with the applicable endorsement, or a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Behind-the-Wheel CMV Instructor.
