Description:
Special Education Trainee, 8 hours a day for 260 Contract Days.
Efficiently and effectively assist in providing a well-organized, smoothly functioning program in a special education setting while working under the supervision of a supervising teacher. Performs support work assisting students in meeting educational, communication, emotional, physical and behavioral goals of special needs students. Works Individually or in small groups.
Job Summary:
Provide support by working directly with students to increase their academic, social/behavioral, communication, and study skills under the direction of the teacher(s).
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in special education or near completion or ability to obatain a Minnesota Short Call Substitute License .
• Experience working with students with significant disabilities
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) required. Training is offered by the school district.
• Must pass a background check.
• Capable of discretion/confidentiality.
Pay & Benefits:
