Job description

A global, top tier law firm is seeking a mid-level IP Prosecution Paralegal with an emphasis on trademarks to join its Orange County office. The successful candidate will be proactive, detail oriented, and experienced in handling US and foreign trademark portfolio management, trademark searches, prosecution, enforcement, and conducting research. Duties will include but are not limited to preparing and filing trademark applications, responses to office actions, statements of use, various declarations, IR/Madrid international applications, WIPO renewals, CPI docketing and reporting, due diligence, TTAB proceedings, preparing cost estimates for filing applications and renewals, drafting and filing copyright applications, conducting due diligence related to patents, copyrights, and domain names, and handling reporting notices received from foreign associates, USPTO, WIPO, TTAB, and the Copyright Office. Paralegal will be responsible for corresponding and communicating with foreign associates and clients, and assisting with special projects and other tasks as needed. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CPI, Westlaw, CompuMark/Saegis, and Orbit Intelligence is needed. Flexibility to work overtime is also needed. Qualified candidates will have an ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate and at least 5 years of solid IP and trademark prosecution experience at a large law firm. A college degree is preferred and depending on experience, qualifications and skills, salary range is $100-130k. For prompt, confidential consideration, please submit MS Word version of resume.
