Job description

AWS is seeking a world class sales professional to co-manage our global customer relationships with our largest retail and CPG companies in the world.
The Global Account Manager will be co-responsible for providing global business leadership and management of this global account. You will build and maintain key relationships, develop and manage opportunities, monitor deployment projects and engage virtual resources. You will define a CXO relationship strategy within the account, including engaging with AWS senior leadership team for executive sponsorships, coordinating executive business reviews and maintain customer satisfaction.
Key job responsibilities
The GAM is co-responsible for teaming with the customer's C-suite to build strategic relationships across the account, articulating a clear vision and generating enthusiasm, while impacting all business groups

The GAM is responsible for selling at the most strategic level within the account and implementing a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service implementation. The GAM works with all appropriate AWS resources (Executives, Solutions Architects,Partners, Support, Service teams, and Professional Services) to support customer interests. This includes dotted line responsibility for downstream sales and technical resources that may be geographically distributed.


Customer Advisory: Engage with customer executives to share strategies that increase speed, agility, and innovation through AWS cloud technology.
Strategic Transformation: Guide customers on organizational design, IT modernization, and applying Amazon-style mechanisms to their business.
Internal Advisory: Advise internal AWS teams on strategic initiatives, particularly in AI transformation and technology.


Thought Leadership: Create content (blogs, whitepapers, presentations) sharing best practices for enterprise strategy and digital transformation for the IBU and AGS.
Mentorship: Provide mentoring to leadership teams on how to drive change at scale.
Innovation: Input and feedback for product innovation to disrupt at scale across the portfolio
Competitive Knowledge: Understanding GCP and Azure
