Role Summary

Labcorp is seeking a Study Director - DART, Chemical and Crop Protection to join our dynamic team in Greenfield, IN!

Job Responsibilities
  • The Study Director serves as the single point of control for all nonclinical Developmental and Reproductive Toxicology studies conducted in accordance with OECD, EPA, and ICH guidelines.
  • This role is responsible for ensuring the scientific, technical, and regulatory integrity of Crop Protection and Chemical (CPC) studies, including agrochemicals, industrial chemicals, and other regulated substances, as well as pharmaceutical development programs.
  • The Study Director provides strategic oversight of study design, conduct, data interpretation, and report preparation, ensuring studies meet the highest scientific standards and are conducted in full compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) requirements to support global regulatory submissions.
  • Plan, design, and direct complex DART studies to generate high-quality scientific data and support client programs.
  • Serve as Study Director for OECD and, as needed, ICH-compliant DART studies.
  • Develop and approve study protocols and amendments in compliance with SOPs, GLPs, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor study conduct and ensure accurate collection, documentation, and interpretation of study data.
  • Lead data analysis, study reporting, and delivery of final reports that meet client and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate study teams and provide scientific leadership to technical, operational, and cross-functional personnel.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, support business development activities, and lead client interactions and visits.
  • Contribute to scientific innovation through method development, process improvement, and implementation of new technologies.
  • Mentor staff and provide training, troubleshooting, and technical guidance to support scientific excellence.
  • Represent Labcorp through scientific presentations, publications, and participation in professional organizations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master of Science degree with 3 or more years of experience in scientific research, or a Ph.D. in Toxicology, or a D.V.M. with 2 or more years of scientific research.
  • 3 or more years of experience as a Study Director for OECD-based DART studies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 or more years of experience directing OECD TG 426 Developmental Neurotoxicity Studies, OECD TG 416 Two-Generation Reproductive Toxicity Studies, and OECD TG 443 Extended One-Generation Reproductive Toxicity Studies.
Additional Job Standards
  • Strong knowledge of GLP regulations, OECD guidelines, and current regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical and crop protection/chemical safety testing.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate effectively in a matrix-management environment while mentoring junior staff.
  • Ability to independently manage studies and projects with minimal supervision.
  • Strong scientific judgment, data interpretation, and technical writing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and timelines.
