JOB PURPOSE:

The Pricing Analyst is responsible for performing day-to-day duties related to loading pricing, cost and contract analysis and issue resolution within our Special Sales department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
  • Perform competitor analysis on similar products and services.
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Ability to filter and โ€œcleanโ€ data by utilizing reports.
  • Address issues and concerns raised by team members relating to pricing.
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts
of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly pricing, reporting and contract analysis.
  • Research pricing discrepancies, provide accurate resolutions and load pricing accurately.
  • Run cost analysis reporting.
  • Able to reset/adjust priorities as the business demands.
  • Managing day-to-day tasks while carrying projects to successful completion.
  • Work independently in a deadline driven environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Enthusiastic and proactive team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong independent analytic and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient in the basic features of all Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficient in the advanced features of Microsoft Excel: lookup formulas and pivot tables (a plus).
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and deliver on expectations.
  • Someone who can handle criticism and constructive feedback and provide it when needed.
