A Successful Estimating Candidate:
  • Team mindset
  • Knowledge and understanding of HVAC systems
  • Ability to multi-task, self-motivate and handle multiple projects at one time
  • Reviewing project plans and specifications to understand the scope of work and project requirements.
  • Developing cost estimates based on the scope of work, including materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Collaborating with project managers and other team members to identify opportunities to reduce costs
  • Conducting site visits to gather information and assess project requirements.
  • Communicating with subcontractors and vendors to obtain pricing and availability information for materials and equipment.
  • Preparing and submitting bid proposals, including detailed cost breakdowns and project timelines.
Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years’ experience in HVAC estimating preferred
  • Must have excellent Microsoft Office Skills, specifically Word and Excel
  • Proven ability to work closely and efficiently with clients and co-workers in a professional, business environment
