Job description

Elders Inn is currently seeking dedicated caregivers for the AM shift to join our compassionate team.

Compensation for this position ranges from $20.00 to $23.50 per hour, based on experience, with bi-weekly pay. The position is located in Alameda, CA.

We are looking for:

  • Full-time, scheduled from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, working a 4-days on, 2-days off rotation
  • Part time, scheduled from 5:00 AM to 11:00 AM, working a 3-days on, 3-days off rotation
Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance to residents with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, and various daily living activities
  • Support residents with mobility, including safe transfers
  • Accurately take and record vital signs
  • Facilitate active and passive range of motion exercises as outlined in each resident’s care plan
  • Respond promptly and attentively to resident needs while respecting their privacy and dignity
  • Monitor resident activity and overall functional status for changes or concerns
  • Help maintain apartment tidiness to promote a safe and comfortable living environment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CNA-level training (license not required) or a minimum of three years of experience in a heavy care environment
  • Patience and skill in working with individuals who have cognitive impairments
  • Ability to accurately follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Basic computer proficiency, as caregiving documentation is computer-based
  • Physical capability to lift up to 150 pounds
