Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs protective, security, and emergency/ crisis response tasks and activities to proactively maintain a safe and secure environment. The security officer will interact with the public with the highest levels of professionalism and customer service. The appearance standards and verbal skills are vital in creating confidence when interacting with the public.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Protect proactively the client's employees, facilities, and assets in order to prevent damage and loss.
  • Adherence to clients and company's regulations and expectations to ensure compliance and good legal and ethical standings.
  • Adherence to federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances to ensure compliance and good legal and ethical standings.
  • Ability to respond to a variety of emergencies/ crisis situations and provide the necessary intervention to restore normal conditions and notify the proper persons.
  • Enforce compliance to the client's policies, practices, and directives related to the safety and security of facilities, employees, contractors, and guests in order to ensure the safest and most secure environment.
  • Ability to ensure, through proactive techniques, the protection, security, and safety of all with the highest levels of professionalism and customer service in order to create the securest and safest environment possible.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Requires four-year high school graduate or G.E.D equivalent.
  • Licensure/Certification: Requires State of Florida Class D and or G Security License.
  • Relevant Experience: Requires one-year work experience with preferred experience in a security, law enforcement, military, and/ or public safety or customer service field.
  • Skills and Abilities: Must be knowledgeable of security methods and practices, have public relations/ customer service experience with proven experience in responding to emergencies/ crisis situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to walk, climb stairs, stand for up to 12 hours.
  • Ability to assist in subduing and restraining combative subjects.
  • Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of Fifty (50) pounds without assistance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Will be working in outside elements/ weather with potential unsafe conditions.
