About the Finance Clerk Position

Our team is seeking an experienced and motivated Finance Clerk. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing administrative support to finance staff, maintaining detailed records, and assisting customers.

To succeed as a Finance Clerk, you'll need to be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills. An analytical mindset and an affinity for numbers are also must-haves.

Finance Clerk Responsibilities
  • Create and deliver various financial documents including bills, receipts, and invoices
  • Regularly update databases and records, organizing filing systems when needed
  • Process and monitor incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring each is accurately coded
  • Review and verify financial records for accuracy
  • Perform account reconciliation and audits as needed or requested
  • Report any financial discrepancies or other issues to upper management
  • Assist customers over the phone, by email, or in person by answering questions and resolving problems
  • Prepare reports for management on a [weekly/monthly/quarterly] basis or when requested
  • Provide the finance department with administrative support, including but not limited to answering phone calls, responding to emails, and preparing for meetings
Finance Clerk Requirements
  • [2+] years experience working as a finance clerk or in a similar role
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • AA/AS or higher in accounting, finance, or related field of study preferred
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Working knowledge of best accounting or bookkeeping practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software, such as QuickBooks
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superb organizational and time management skills while juggling multiple tasks
  • Must show integrity while working independently and as part of a team
