Back Server
The Back Server has several tasks throughout service. Back Servers will be assigned a team for the shift but are not limited to only one team. All Back Servers must work as a team allowing the Head Servers more time to focus on merchandising. They must possess strong menu knowledge regarding ingredients and presentation as they are the last quality control point between the kitchen and our guest. Additionally may be responsible for performing all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Job Functions:
  • Serving and replenishing water and bread throughout the dining experience.
  • Running food to all bar and dining room areas.
  • Double check to ensure all food is prepared correctly prior to bring to the dining room.
  • Brings all food items to the correct table as quickly as possible.
  • Checks with each guest to ensure proper food items were delivered and nothing else is needed in order to enjoy the course.
  • Assist team members with stocking of service equipment and silverware in order to perform proper steps of service.
  • Assists in clearing each course with other team members.
  • Mark silverware, Mise En Place and menus for dessert course
  • Take orders whenever necessary.
  • Responsible for making and serving all hot beverages including coffee drinks and teas.
  • Brings all Non-Alcoholic and Alcoholic Beverages whenever necessary to the correct table and guest.
  • Back Servers will be responsible for Bread Service in the absence of a KA
  • Assist Head Servers in serving catering events

Physical Requirements of the Back Server Position:
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced mobility in limited space.
  • Must have the ability to bend, squat and lift up to 50 lbs., including, but not limited to, lifting trays of food or food items on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Understand and respond to employee and guest verbal requests and visual cues in a loud and extremely busy environment.

Education Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Requirements of the Back Server Position:
  • $16.00 per hour ($10.70 Cash Wage + $5.30 Tip Credit)
