Summary:
The purpose of the Golf Starter/Ranger is to interact with all customers in a professional and courteous manner while starting and monitoring course play. Golf Starters / Ranger are the connection between the Golf Shop and the Player out on the golf course. Their focus is to make constant contact offering to provide services for the guest.
Key responsibilities:
  • Meet and greet all customers in a warm friendly and welcoming tone and provide all customers exceptional customer service.
  • Has a good understanding of the rules and regulations of the game of golf and proper course etiquette.
  • Responsible for getting players started on time and maintaining speed of play on the course.
  • Supervision of the putting course.
  • Assist Golf Shop in ensuring smooth operation and traffic flow on the course.
  • Responsible for driving the course and managing play and etiquette on the course.
  • Maintaining contact and communication with guests.

Requirements
  • This is a part-time, seasonal position. Hours are flexible and include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age with knowledge of the game of golf, the rules and regulations.
  • This position requires a valid state driver's license.
  • Ability to communicate with customers and fellow associates in an effective and professional manner.

Pay is based upon several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
