Job description

Courier Driver

Whether it's same-day international courier service or same-hour domestic shipping, we are here 24/7/365 to meet our customers' goals.

The Courier Driver is responsible for collecting and delivering parcels, packages, and various-sized boxes driving a 26ft box truck, 16ft box truck, and cargo vans. You must be able to lift 50 pounds and complete the DOT AZ requirements to drive a commercial vehicle. You must be willing to be able to drive several hours at a time. You will be required to make multiple trips to the airports and surrounding cities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Pick up or delivery of time-sensitive samples and/or equipment between client location and airport.
  • Position requires driving for various lengths of time in and around the Phoenix Area (PHX Airport).
  • Evening/nights, weekends, and holiday work is required.
  • Maintain written log of daily activity.
  • Ensure vehicles service/basic maintenance is kept up.
  • Additional tasks as needed per manager, based on the business needs.

Education and Experience

  • High School completion or equivalent is required.
  • 1 or more years as a courier driver or experience is a plus.
  • Basic to intermediate experience using Windows operating system and Microsoft software applications is required.
  • Must have valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Must be good with directions/using GPS.
  • Must be organized and be able to prioritize tasks/deliveries.
  • Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret verbal and written requests and directions.
  • A customer centric, positive demeanor when interacting with CNW clients and employees.
  • Can present oneself in a highly cooperative and professional manner.
