Veterinarian

Join our team at Perkins County Veterinary Hospital in Grant, Nebraska, where we are dedicated to providing top-notch veterinary care for pets and a limited number of equine/exotics. As a Veterinarian with us, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment that values compassion, excellence, and innovation in animal care.

We have a harmonious staff that works together to create a fun work environment. Support staff and AI tools help get the job done and you home on time! Work/life balance is a priority. Our local community provides a safe environment and superior school system for families. We are located near 2 large recreational lakes and there are always local events and entertainment available. 

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical care and treatment to a variety of animals, including small animals and exotics
  • Perform surgeries, including orthopedic and emergency procedures as your practice scope allows. Services offered to our clients.
  • Utilize digital radiography with AI assisted reading, and ultrasound for diagnostics
  • Administer anesthesia (isoflorane) and cold laser therapy plus other healing/pain management equipment as needed.
  • Manage urgent care cases and critical care patients 

Required Skills:

  • Experience in small animal care and preventive medicine. New Graduates welcome
  • Strong client service skills and ability to communicate effectively

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with exotics, internal medicine, and surgery
  • Ability to perform X-rays and ultrasound.
  • Comfort with anesthesia, laser therapy, and emergency medicine
  • Fear Feee Certified or willingness to become fear free certified.
