What does a country security manager do?

A Country Security Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing security policies and procedures within a specific country for an organization. Their duties include assessing risks, managing security teams, ensuring compliance with local laws, and coordinating responses to emergencies or incidents. They often liaise with government agencies, conduct security training, and create strategies to protect personnel, assets, and company operations.

To thrive as a Country Security Manager, you need expertise in risk assessment, crisis management, and security operations, often supported by a degree in security management or related fields and prior experience in security roles. Familiarity with security information systems, incident reporting tools, and certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional) are typically required.
