Brae Burn Country Club is located in the heart of New York's Prestigious Westchester County. Brae Burn has been a cherished part of the community since it's founding in 1964.  Today, it's beautifully renovated interiors and elegantly landscaped grounds continue to offer unparalleled grace for private and corporate events as well as a rich array of activities for its members.
 
Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Houseman to join our team. In this vital role, you will assist in event room set-up and breakdown, ensure the cleanliness, and overall upkeep of our property, creating a welcoming environment for Members and guests. This position works in conjunction with food and beverage, Housekeeping, kitchen, front desk and the entire Club staff to ensure that all event set ups and storage is executed in a timely manner. Communication between departments, including Front of House and Back of House, is a daily occurrence to ensure that all tasks are completed.
Responsibilities 
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of Clubhouse, banquet facilities, pool area and storage areas.
  • Set up ballrooms, event areas according to event specifications
  • Event set up and breakdown
  • Set up and breakdown of all on-course need
  • Cleaning clubhouse offices (collects trash, vacuum, and dust) (bathrooms, staff break rooms and lounges)
  • Arrange tables, chairs, linens, dance floors, staging, and other event equipment.
  • Assist with event breakdown and room resets.
  • Support banquet servers and event staff as needed during events.
  • Transport equipment, supplies, and materials throughout the clubhouse.
  • Ensure all event spaces meet club presentation standards.
  • Follow safety procedures and proper equipment handling practices.
Qualifications

  • Prior country club or hotel experience, banquet, hospitality, or event setup experience preferred
  • Must be able to lift and move heavy equipment
  • Ability to lift and move furniture and equipment safely
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic
  • Must work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures accurately
