Job Description & Core Responsibilities


Department: Drop Team

Reports To: BSA Compliance/Drop Team Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Pay Grade Grade 2
Gaming Class Compact/Gaming License Required

Position Summary:

The Drop Team members are responsible for the collecting and counting of casino funds, in a safe manner, to provide revenue numbers and replenish inventory levels while adhering to company policies, regulatory compliance, and mandates of confidentiality.


Core Duties and Responsibilities:

The Drop Team Member is responsible for the following duties:

  • Ensure safety by wearing proper protective safety equipment, using correct lifting procedures, and keeping your environment clean.
  • Follow correct procedures and key policies for all revenue drops.
  • Extract bill acceptors from machines throughout the casino by using verification cards and replacing them with an empty bill acceptor.
  • Apply knowledge of casino chips to count and tray the poker revenue, record the totals, and prepare the proper paperwork.
  • Count blackjack revenue by opening each box, sorting and counting and bundling the currency.
  • Prepare Master Game Sheets.
  • Set up computer for daily currency drop.
  • Count currency revenue by entering the bill acceptor number into computer as you count each box and verifying totals with CDS computer. Count and bundle currency.
  • Apply knowledge of counting machines for minor repairs and cleaning daily and to ensure that they work.
  • Ensure accuracy of all revenue counts and verify with the vault clerk.
  • Maintain a positive working relationships with employees and management.
  • Perform duties in an independent and efficient manner making the most effective use of time and resources.
  • Apply knowledge of company policies and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Maintain communication and attend all required meetings and trainings.

Physical Demands:

Job-specific abilities and requirements include:

Ability to perform repetitive wrist movement with keys, guiding motorized carts that weigh 800 to 1200 lbs., long periods of sitting, walking, stooping, bending, and crawling in confined areas. Extensive computer use is required. Must have the ability to tolerate various scents, noises, and bright lights.
