Description

JOB SUMMARY 

We're looking for someone with stone or countertop fabrication experience to join us as a Countertop Fabricator at Nonn's/Artisan Design Group. This position reports to the Shop Manager and works at our countertop fabrication facility in Springfield Corners (near the intersection of Highways 12 and 19 north of Middleton). In this role, you'll work with some of the newest equipment in a safe and clean shop environment to help us create residential and commercial countertops from granite and quartz slabs. The Countertop Fabricator works a full-time, first-shift schedule, Monday to Friday. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Operate fabrication equipment in a safe manner following manufacturer's procedures.
  • Hand polish material within acceptable company standards.
  • Maintain machines and hand tools on a daily basis.
  • Maintain work area so that it is clean and neat at all times.
  • May be assigned to jobs dedicated to loading, unloading, and yard maintenance.
  • Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.   • 6+ months stone or countertop fabrication experience.
  • 6+ months work experience reading schematics or blueprints preferred.
  • Bi-lingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without restriction and on a regular basis.
  • Ability to read/write basic English correspondence and perform simple alphabetizing.
  • Ability to order numbers, measure, and perform simple addition and subtraction.
