Position Summary

Kemco Facilities Services is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our growing Orlando team.

This role is ideal for a motivated technician who enjoys diagnosing complex commercial HVAC systems, solving problems independently, and delivering exceptional customer service. Candidates with additional experience in refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, or general commercial maintenance are highly encouraged to apply.


What You'll Do
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment performance and reliability.
  • Service restaurants, retail stores, healthcare facilities, banks, and other commercial properties throughout the Orlando area.
  • Complete minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance repairs as needed.
  • Clearly communicate findings and repair recommendations with customers.
  • Complete work orders, service reports, and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, inventory, and equipment.
  • Follow all company safety standards and industry best practices.

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience preferred
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience servicing commercial HVAC equipment
  • Working knowledge of commercial electrical systems
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass a background screening

This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, a commitment to exceptional customer service, and the ability to service a variety of systems in retail stores, banks, and healthcare facilities to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, electrical systems, general construction elements, and perform handyman tasks. Handle laminate countertop repairs or installations as needed.

  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to plumbing, electrical, and structural components, ensuring efficient and lasting repairs.

  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently and to prevent unexpected failures.

  • Customer Service: Communicate effectively with clients, explain repair procedures, and provide solutions to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general construction; ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics; proficiency in handyman tasks and preferably laminate countertop work.

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in plumbing, electrical, or construction trades are a plus.

  • Driving License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record per company policy.

  • Background Screening: Must pass a satisfactory background screening.
