Job Description – Counter Sales/Warehouse Associate

Summary
The Macomb Group is a recognized leading distributor for Pipe, Valve, and Fittings. We are looking for a full-time counter sales representative with Fire Protection / Fire Sprinkler Experience to handle counter sales responsibilities/warehouse duties at our La Vergne, TN location. The Macomb Group has differentiated itself from competitors by continually expanding our operations to provide unbeatable specialty services, a huge inventory, energy-efficient solutions, and exceptional customer service. We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, self-driven individual to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for answering phones, taking orders, and pulling material in the warehouse
  • Taking orders from customers at the will call counter
  • Giving status of previous order
  • Computer entry
  • Coordination of sales orders
  • Provide professional customer service to customers
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One or two years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of both is preferred
  • Victaulic material experience is preferred
  • Demonstrate trade experience and knowledge of fire protection/ fire sprinkler applications
  • Able to project professionalism in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills
  • Motivated team player who takes initiative
