Job Responsibilities

Job Description

The Count Room Floor Manager is responsible for managing all facets of the drop/count operations, safeguarding and accounting for all casino money drops and organizing and maintaining all drop boxes; directing and developing staff; preparing and conducting performance reviews; providing direction and guidance for the department; and assisting in the development of schedules, assignments, and paid time off. The Manager is responsible for managing team members and directing daily operations, exercising independent judgment in staffing, scheduling, performance management, and enforcement of company policies. The Manager serves as a representative of management, spends the majority of time on supervisory and decision-making responsibilities, and provides input into hiring, discipline, and other employment actions that are given significant weight.

License Level: This is a key license position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise, lead and direct drop and count room activities, ensuring all regulatory compliance within all gaming regulations, internal controls and company and department policies and procedures
  • Supervise subordinate Count room Coordinator and performing activities such as hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and administers disciplinary actions
  • Ensure employees are trained to work safely and efficiently within current regulatory guidelines
  • Evaluate shift schedules and adjusts, if necessary, to accommodate Resorts World operational and departmental needs
  • Prepare, maintain, and submit essential paperwork and reports
  • Oversee Count Operations applicable functions on any assigned shift.
  • Maintain logs and other required documentation including but not limited to; drop reports, maintenance records, attendance reports, and associate incident documentation.
  • Monitor and maintain all equipment/tables that are used in the operation of count room function.
  • Work with the Count rooms Operation's Management to ensure efficient and accurate operations of the department and correct any noted deficiencies.
  • Properly and safely use equipment used during the daily operations of the count room including but not limited to the currency sorting machine, calculators, carts, etc.
  • Attend periodic meetings and training sessions.
  • Demonstrate and provide outstanding customer and employee relations at all times.
  • Present oneself in a neat and clean appearance at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests. Fluency in English required, second language a plus. Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.

Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability:

Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to decipher various reports and maintains reports upon request. Must have the ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality

Work/Educational Experience

  • Must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school or equivalent diploma and have the ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the applicable statute, rules and regulations.
  • Associate's Degree in Business or closely related field
    • OR Two (2) years' experience in a Supervisory position or equivalent
    • OR Two (2) years' management experience in the hiring position's Department
  • Five (5) years' related work experience in a money handling setting required
  • Three (3) years' related experience in a Casino count room setting preferred
  • Demonstrated a working knowledge of state gaming regulations pertaining to casino operations
