Job description

The Lead Countroom Representative is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Countroom by leading and coordinating the Countroom team while ensuring the accurate counting, recording, and verification of casino funds. This role assists with training, assigns daily tasks, monitors compliance with internal controls and gaming regulations, and helps maintain the security and integrity of all cash and gaming assets. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and demonstrates strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, highly regulated casino environment. 

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Prior cash handling experience preferred (casino, bank, retail, or similar environment).
  • Previous leadership or team lead experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately count, record, and reconcile funds.
  • Positive attitude with a professional and approachable demeanor.
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dependable, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmMust be flexible with schedule to work holidays and weekends.

ADDITONAL REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Frequently lifts and/or carries objects up to 50 pounds. 
  • Position requires 90% standing, 10% walking. 
  • Requires frequent stooping and reaching overhead; very frequent bending, pushing, twisting and kneeling. 
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, stressful environment. 
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment. 
  • Must be able to work in areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust. 
  • Must be able to respond to touch, speech, aural and visual cues.
  • Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for long periods of time.

Compensation & Benefits: 

  • $19.50 per hour.

Shift Details:

  • Morning Shift: 3:45 am -12:30 pm (Off Days TBD)

  • Maintains upkeep of Countroom.
  • Responsible for minor repair and maintenance of Countroom equipment.
  • Notifies Countroom manager of malfunctioning equipment.
  • Sorts, counts and records the contents of table game drop boxes according to procedure.
  • Compares information contained in drop boxes to data sorted on computer terminal. 
  • Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah's and encourages others to do the same. 
  • Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures.
  • Completes all other duties as assigned.
