Job Description

The Basic Needs Intern will support the Regional District Manager with administrative, operational, and student-support initiatives across campus dining and basic needs programs. This position provides hands-on professional experience in higher education operations, communication, and project coordination while assisting with day-to-day departmental needs.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the Regional District Manager with administrative projects, reporting, scheduling, and operational follow-up.
• Support coordination of campus basic needs initiatives, student outreach efforts, and resource-based programs.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while handling sensitive or operational information.
• Assist with data entry, document preparation, meeting coordination, and tracking assignments or action items.
• Communicate effectively with students, managers, and campus partners in a professional manner.
• Provide support during campus events, tabling opportunities, and student engagement activities.
• Assist with organizing materials, maintaining records, and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and strong customer service skills while representing the department.

Qualifications

•    Previous custodial experience preferred
•    Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling greater than 50 lbs.
•    Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals

 This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
