What is a coterie?

A coterie is a small, exclusive group of people who share a common interest or purpose. In professional settings, the term 'coterie' might refer to a circle of individuals with specialized skills or roles who work closely together. The word is often used in literature, art, or business to describe groups that collaborate or have a unique influence within a larger organization or community. Membership in a coterie can offer networking opportunities, support, and a sense of belonging.

Event coordinators working with coteries often face the challenge of balancing diverse member preferences while ensuring seamless logistics. Coordinators must communicate effectively to understand the group's goals and create inclusive experiences. Managing tight deadlines, multiple vendors, and unexpected changes are also typical.
