Position Summary
The Maintenance Assistant position provides custodial services and completes general upkeep for all areas of the corporate campus including, two off site leased office buildings in Issaquah, WA. The position will be conducted during and after regular business hours. Monday - Friday 3:30pm to 12:00am. The primary focus is to perform daily custodial functions and may include some weekends and/or special events as needed.
Job Duties/Essential Functions
  • Follows departmental procedures and standards for cleanliness and performance of duties.
  • Cleans floors, offices, kitchens, restrooms, and delis.
  • Operates custodial trade standard equipment.
  • Empties trash from designated areas throughout the campus each night.
  • Operates garbage and cardboard compactors.
  • Stocks all supplies in designated dispensers in all areas.
  • Sweeps, mops, and spot washes all hard surfaces throughout corporate offices, delis and fitness centers.
  • Maintains all custodial closets in a clean and organized fashion, ensuring supplies are readily available to accomplish department goals.
  • Regular and reliable workplace attendance at your assigned location.

Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.
  • Floor Scrubbers, varying styles of vacuums, pallet jack, pressure washer, trash and recycling compactors, ladders, low impact hand tools, and other custodial related equipment

Non-Essential Functions
  • Assists in other areas of the department as necessary.
  • Assists in other areas of the company as necessary.

Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.

Experience, Skills, Education & Licenses/Certifications
Required:
  • Able to work with all levels of employees, supervisors, and managers.
  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good administrative, follow through and reporting skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work with stringent deadlines; excellent attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to deal with multiple responsibilities and projects.
  • Basic computer skills required for administrative and training purposes.
Recommended:
  • Mechanical aptitude and/or working knowledge of custodial trade standards and processes.
  • Approachable, friendly customer service-oriented personality.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
